Heat Shield is used to protect electronics, cabling, fuel tanks etc. in engine compartments. Foil-faced fiberglass fabric laminated to nonwoven glass-fiber for critical thermal barrier applications.

DBL Damping Sheets (DBL) is a self-adhesive, lightweight damping pad material used for controlling noise and vibration in truck, bus and industrial machine sheet metal applications. The pad material is odorless, wear resistant, waterproof and provides damping performance equal to that of conventional materials twice its weight.

Noiseless Rigid Urethane Flooring (NRUF) is laminated Urethane Board designed to reduce vibrations and noise transmission in flooring constructions. It consists of two sheets of Urethane Boards bonded together by a thin viscoelastic damping layer.

dBdamp MP damping foils and sheets use the constrained layer principle to reduce resonant structural vibrations in the supporting panels.

Our masticated sheets and rolls are fiber reinforced and fully cured. This unique process translates into higher tensile strength, tear strength, resilience, wear characteristics, ozone resistance, low temperature resistance, and ultimately, durability.

Replacing normal plywood with Noiseless Wood improves the transmission loss in two critical regions. First: at the resonance frequencies of the structure the peak vibration levels are reduced about 10 fold. Second: at mid to high frequencies there is a phenomenon referred to as the coincidence frequency. This is the sound that has the same wavelength in air, as does the bending wave in the panel at the same frequency.

Noiseless Metal (NM) is laminated metal designed to reduce vibrations and noise transmission in metal constructions. It consists of two sheets of metal bonded together by a thin viscoelastic damping layer. NM can be made using any commercial quality steel or aluminum.

Most of the floormats have the same basic composites that give high noise transmission loss as well as a handsome finished appearance for the interior of vehicle cabs. Instead of a cheap open cell underlay, dB Engineering uses a high quality closed cell that performs better at low frequency and does not allow water to soak into the material. The other two composites include a one pound per square foot barrier and a non-slip surface.

dBmat is a noise control material specifically designed to achieve maximum attenuation over a broad frequency range. dBmat combines dense, limp, flexible, non-lead loaded barriers with dBcloth foams providing a total noise control system. Unlike other composites available, these multilayer systems are manufactured without costly adhesives, thus eliminating the potential for failure between layers.
