VEVO is a flexible viscoelastic damping material available in sheets and custom die-cut parts. It is designed to attenuate structural vibration energy over a temperature range of 12°C (10°F) to 77°C (170°F) offering maximum damping between 10°C (50°F) and 37°C (100°F). In addition to its outstanding damping characteristics, VEVO is highly resistant to most common chemicals (water, petroleum, mild acids and bases) as well as the environment (UV and ozone), while exhibiting excellent flame resistance and low smoke generation under fire conditions. VEVO is supplied with an integral, pressure-sensitive adhesive system, which requires only the removal of the paper release liner and application of pressure to assure an intimate and permanent contact with the substrate. This “peel and stick” adhesive system allows maximum performance and is especially suited to assembly line applications.

This damping part was water jet cut to the customer’s print. This photo shows a “dry fit” over the formed metal part. After installation, the damping sheet will eliminate vibration and noise from the metal paddle.
FOAM DAMPING
GP-3 solves a wide variety of resonant vibration and noise problems in appliances, office and electronic data processing equipment, plant machinery, all types of transportation equipment as well as farm and construction equipment.
This photo shows the use of embossed foam damping composite in a speaker housing. The housing is constructed of painted metal and has four pieces of die cut composite to eliminate the “oil canning” and “reverberate build up” when the speaker is excited giving a quality sound reproduction.

Embossed foam damping composite offers a two-fold solution with one product. Both damping (structure-borne noise) and absorption (airborne noise) can be reduced with this composite while allowing easy one step installation. Many OEMs in the office, medical, and audio reproduction equipment take advantage of this effective and cost saving composite.
